Our History
Trans India HP is run by Hem Singh Thakur who specializes in Himalayan treks and expeditions with experience of over 30+ years.
Based out of Shimla, with travel and trekking experiences across the world, Hem Singh has designed and implemented programs for clients and prestigious organizations from the
US, UK, Russia, New Zealand, Israel, and more.

For 20+ years, Trans India HP has catered to international clients as well as Indian schools, colleges, corporate sectors, and prestigious groups like the Civil Services of the Government of India.
We have successfully conducted over 250+ expeditions in the Trans-Himalayan region and the lower Himalayas, including seven expeditions reaching up to 6000 meters, such as Stok Kangri in Ladakh, Yunin, and Kanamo.

the Western Himalayan Arboretum Temperate Department of Forests, Himachal Pradesh .

I can’t say enough amazing things about my positive experience with Hem and Trans India, which is why I have done repeat trips with them to different parts of the Himalayas.
My favorite trek with Trans India under Hem’s leadership was to Mt. Stok in Ladakh. He was thoroughly prepared for our adventure and had the safest equipment for our trek. He had the appropriate safety equipment and watched weather reports and paid attention to geological activity to make sure we were safe from snow storms and land slides etc.
